The Feast by thd777
The Feast
Finally managed to finish an image I was working on since last year: A feast in a saxon or maybe viking setting.Getting all the characters set, posed and materials adjusted took much longer than I anticipated. The lighting was also tricky, but the this version I am reasonably happy with. I might revisit this after a break...
All props and characters imported from DAZ Studio 4.7, materials, lights, and rendering in Vue 2014 Infinite.

Medieval Farm by thd777
Medieval Farm
I had a bit of time for a first 2015 render and to try out one of the new models I got from Dante78's store at Renderosity. Here I used the medieval farm building in a late summer kind of setting. I am still trying to figure out the best ways to work with these models, so it is probably not optimal. The materials can be a bit of a challenge because there are very few material zones in many of the models. I might need to take it into another program and define some additional zones to make it easier to use different settings on things (like horses and hay). The characters were imported via DAZ Studio.
Anyway, happy New Year and happy Vueing!

3D Art is my hobby. I started with Poser in 2004. I muddled with it and Bryce and Carrara for a while, but now I have settled on DAZ Studio, Poser Pro and Vue Infinite as my primary tools. I like all kinds of images depending on my mood. I do a lot of SciFi, Fantasy, the occasional character portrait and landscapes.

Happy Rendering!

Hello!
Sure, I am happy to help. I have to run for some errands now, but I'll type up how I transferred the Lizardworld character when I get back. Then we can see from there.

Interesting idea, the Gryphon. Unfortunately, I do not have either of these two. Here is how I have transferred all my morphs including several RawArt sets:

0. Before working on any specific character, I made .CR2 with all standard morphs loaded (morphs++, SP4, Creature Creator, ...) and I transferred all f those.
1. Load the character/combination you want onto V4/M4
2. Inspect the figure and find which morphs are loaded. The easiest in DS4 using the "Currently used" button of the parameter tab. Identify all the custom morphs, i.e. all the ones that are not part of the standard morph sets like morphs++ or creature creator.
3. Export the character as .CR2
4. Go to the GenX plugin tab and load the .CR2 that you exported
5. select and transfer all the custom morphs (if you have already transferred the standard one as under 0)
6. Now switch on the GenX tab to the "Presets" tab and load/add the original pose/inj/morph file for the character
7. Select the correct figure, all translate and include options and hit translate. This produces a preset file that will load all necessary morphs and setting onto Genesis.

That's it. So far this has always worked for me. That are a couple of alternate ways for difficult characters. For example you can load the morph combination you want onto M4/V4 and then export as a morph target. Load this onto a fresh CR2 and you can now transfer the combined morphs as one full body morph with GenX. Let me know if you need details on anything. Or if you run into any specific problems. In that case screenshots can be helpful to trouble shoot.
